Children's Listing
"It's good that children ask questions: that's the best way to learn." --Bernice Cullinan.

NEW!!! See the Children's Blurbs. No, I don't have any long reviews, but I've written something pithy or cute about a few of my favorite children's books. Also, while I'm trying to work my way down the lists of books I've recommended, and post blurbs or reviews of them (hopefully all, eventually), there are some books on my blurb list that have not yet been added to the children's list. So take a peek.

Also, I've now finished re-sorting this list by author; click here to see that. Oh, and have a super day.

These books are good for read-aloud to children as young as 6 and 7; to see books for little ones or that early readers can read themselves, try this page.

Age suggestions are approximate, and should not be used restrictively. Many young children are able to read far beyond their level, while some older children thoroughly enjoy a book recommended for younger readers. Furthermore, some timeless classics are just too good to be read by only one particular group of children.

The "Review" box denotes whether the title in question is one which I myself have reviewed on this site. Naturally, most books have been reviewed somewhere, sometime, by someone; this designates only whether I myself have done so. Suggestions or recommendations (or pleas!) for coming reviews may be sent to my personal email and I will be pleased to help, if at all possible.
