The "adult" designation placed upon these books is in no way intended to be restrictive; many adolescents are fully capable of reading many or most of the books upon this list, although a few may have subject matter that would be better read at an older age. Furthermore, many of the youth books (or even children's books, for that matter) are enduring classics that everyone should read, no matter what age. Adolescents browsing this list are asked to use discretion in selecting books; although I truly love and would strongly back any of my suggested works, at times it is best to wait until a certain maturity level has been reached--and that is something that varies from person to person.
The "Review" box denotes whether the title in question is one which I myself have reviewed on this site. Naturally, most books have been reviewed somewhere, sometime, by someone; this designates only whether I myself have done so. Suggestions or recommendations (or pleas!) for coming reviews may be sent to greatbooks@greatbooks@iwarp.com and I will be pleased to help, if at all possible.
